The Anger from his Heart
by Zorlone on Jan.04, 2010, under Inspirational
Justin woke up longing. He recalled how his nights were full of passion for his wife. The memories felt like dreams of another lifetime away. Now, her side of the bed lay empty.
He got up and went to shower. There were traces of his wife’s presence there. Her robe, toothbrush, and perfumes were in place.
The phone rang, with his husky voice he replied, “Hello?”
“It’s me, I’m sorry.”
His memories of that night almost drowned his consciousness. He found his wife in the arms of another man, but his craving for her touch faded the anger from his heart and when he saw his empty bed, he felt the need to be with her again.
He replied, “I miss you so much, come back to me.”
Justin heard the sobs from the other line and ended the call.

Hmmm. Very interesting. Saying sorry via the telephone? Well, at least, she did not send a text message no?
Ah, the many indignities we’re prepared to put up with in the name of love. Sometimes making us walk jauntily into our doom.

Jan,
Yes true and look at the timing of the apology, she could not have dialed Justin’s number at a better time, right?
Well, that is love. I know you know the feeling

Yeah, that’s a valid point. Happens all the time. It’s a gray area and doesn’t lend itself to neat solutions at all.

Jan,
Rather than solutions, there are only compromises. I guess that’s one of the key components to a strong relationship?

I think Justin would feel jealous and angry finding out that his wife is with another man. But marriages are generally more “solid”, and Justin was still brave enough to say sorry when his wife made that mistake.

Gem,
That solidity in their relationship was the one that gave Justin the courage to forgive his wife.

WOW! What a nice story with a happy ending! It took so much courage for the guy to simply forgive his wife just like that. But I guess that’s the power of LOVE!

Madz,
Both courage and unconditional love, I would think.
Thanks Madz!!!

Yes, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. So, you already experienced such Doc Z? I believe you won’t be able to write such literary piece unless it really comes form the heart

Hello Star,
Thank you for visiting, yep. I agree. We can always ask for forgiveness, it is like surrendering yourself to the verdict of another and hoping for the best response.
